About this document

This document is published in good faith as a clear, industry-standard template so that customers, respondents and prospective customers can understand how Askery approaches this topic. It is provided for transparency only and is NOT legal advice, and it does not create an attorney-client relationship. Laws differ by jurisdiction and by how you use the service. Askery, Inc. and its customers should each have qualified counsel review and, where appropriate, adapt this document before relying on it. If a separately negotiated and signed agreement exists between you and Askery, Inc., that agreement controls to the extent it conflicts with this page. We will update this page as the product and applicable law evolve; material changes are described in the "Changes to this policy" section below.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. They let a site remember information between requests - for example, that you are signed in - and can be "first-party" (set by us) or "third-party" (set by another domain). We design Askery to keep cookie use minimal and purpose-bound.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They include authentication and session cookies that keep you signed in and tie your requests to your account and workspace, and security cookies that protect against cross-site request forgery and abuse. Without these, core features such as logging in and submitting a form securely would not work. Because they are strictly necessary, they do not require consent under most laws.

Functional and preference storage

We may use first-party storage to remember choices that improve your experience, such as UI preferences or a previously selected option, so the product behaves the way you expect on your next visit. These are limited in scope and are not used for tracking across other sites.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting, first-party product analytics to understand aggregate usage so we can operate, debug and improve the Service. We do not use these analytics to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share analytics data for cross-context behavioral advertising. Where required by law, non-essential analytics are governed by your consent choice, and we aim to keep analytics measurement lightweight and proportionate.

No third-party advertising cookies

We do not place third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on our website or in published forms, and we do not run an ad network. Forms you build with Askery are served without third-party ad trackers injected by us; if a customer adds their own external integrations, those are the customer's responsibility and outside this policy.

Cookies on published forms

When a respondent opens a form built on Askery, we use only the cookies needed to deliver and secure the form (for example, session storage and anti-abuse protections such as our honeypot, per-IP rate limiting, and - where the form's owner has enabled it - Cloudflare Turnstile). We do not set advertising cookies on respondents, and we do not track respondents across other websites.

How to control cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or clearing them; note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and other core functionality. Most browsers also offer a "Do Not Track" or global privacy control signal; where the law requires us to honor such a signal for non-essential cookies, we will. Where we present a consent choice, you can change it at any time using the controls provided.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies or applicable law changes. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the website or Service after an update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
